About the Author: Ramona
Harriet—historian, educator, and golf professional—career ranges from
being a head mistress of a school in London, England to an Executive
Director of The First Tee Washington, DC. A former governor appointee to a
state education committee, she has also conducted research for state
senate committees. Ramona is Program Developer for The Carl
Jackson Foundation (also known as Carl's Kids).
Committed to building awareness of
African American Golf History, Ramona travels throughout the United States
speaking on the topic, and also displaying the history through her
exhibit, "Epochs of Courage: African Americans in Golf".
