Emerging from the
Jim Crow Era into the new millennium, "A Missing Link in
History" includes a wealth of historical information found over a
100-year span. Discover little-known facts, glimpse prejudices and
hardships, and revel in the triumphs of African Americans who left a
legacy to the game of golf and American history.
See how court cases like "Holley,
Bailey, and Gray v The City of Portsmouth" and "Rice v
Arnold" helped fashion significant changes. Read fascinating stories
of people who have made a difference and who continue to add to this rich
history.
This "two-books in one"
interactive publication for children and adults includes a Book of Facts
with a time line (1879–2006), and an Activity Book of word puzzles and
trivia. The information will help you
understand the African American role and its effect on the development and
growth of golf and America’s civil liberties. Factual, entertaining, and
educational, "A Missing Link in History" will take you through
an unbelievable journey of pride, prejudice, power, and perseverance.
